Mari is a Freelance Print Designer based in London, specialising in Surface Textiles for Womenswear. She has a feminine handwriting, natural drawing ability, and a strong sense of colour and composition. Experienced in designing all-over, placement and border prints, as well as stripes, embroidery and fabric developments such as woven checks, knitted jacquards and even lace.

Originally from Lancashire, Mari moved to London to study Fashion Design & Surface Textiles at the London College of Fashion. Since graduating in 2011, she has been working consistently in the fashion industry for a variety of brands such as People Tree, Hobbs London, The Jacques Vert Group and Apricot.

 

After growing in confidence over the last few years, she felt ready for a new challenge and took the plunge to go freelance in 2019. Mari now splits her time between designing prints for the fashion industry and her own product line, which includes custom illustrations, homeware, wedding invitations and stationery.

Mari has always loved drawing and crafting from a young age. With a fondness for animals and a love of nature; she is looking forward to bring these elements into her creative work this year.
